"CDBG FUNDING ANNOUNCED"

 

 

“Five Area Communities Receive Funds”

 

The 2006 Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) for housing, community facilities, and water/sewer projects have been announced by the Iowa Department of Economic Development. These grants are funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

 

150 Housing Fund applications were submitted in Iowa with 56 awards totaling almost $20 million funded. 104 applications totaling more than $31 million were submitted for the CDBG Water and Sewer Fund, with 38 awards of nearly $10.7 million funded. Of many applications prepared and submitted by SICOG for our region, the following received funding:
