Hash Brown Casserole- "Virginia Cookbook II"

I love hash brown casserole. It is one of my favorite recipes. Hope you will like this one. As you can see, I like almost all recipes from the state of Virginia. What can I say?

Hash Brown Casserole:

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 (30-ounce) package shredded hash brown potatoes
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 (10&3/4-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (8-ounce) carton sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Melt margarine in large bowl. Add thawed hash brown potatoes, onion, soup, and sour crème. Mix well. Add 1& 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, salt and pepper. Mix Well. Pour into greased 9x13-inch dish and top with remaining Cheddar cheese. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Serve warm.
