Since I began the idea of a new CityHall/Community Center Complex back in 2001, I wanted to see the building used for many different purposes.

The City Council and I are in agreement to use the Community Center to meet the needs and desires of all the people as best we can.

For years now, I have heard about children and youth not having anything to do. We want to correct that gap in service for our community. Such things as holiday and spring breaks and summer vacation are times when this group needs activities.

The adult activities are being very well received and a number of people are looking forward to their beginning in early October.

I contacted Paula Hess of All the Small Details, Inc. to lead the exercise/workout groups. Paula has good experience with this type of activity and currently serves in the capacity of East Union Assistant Girls Basketball Coach, along with operating her own successful business on Main Street.

I am excited about our city's new asset and what it will do for our community.
