Why is our City Clerk not Bonded? Per Iowa Code (64.15) attached it clearly states that they are required to be bonded before being appointed to office. Also, Iowa Code (64.25) states that they can be removed if not bonded.

No back ground or reference check!

I am really supprised to find out that there was no back ground or reference check done on the City Clerk before she was appointed to her current position.

I was also supprised to learn that the City Council did not have proof on being bonded. This is the first City Clerk that I know of that didn't have to be bonded.

It looks like the City Council has not fullfilled their fudiciary responsibilities or oath of office!

When is the City Council going to do what they were elected to do?

Protect  the Taxpayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
