I believe the two audits listed above have our current city clerk listed in them. You might check out the recomindations listed in the audits by the State of Iowa and what the cities involved agreed to do to correct the problems!!!!!!
The City Council of Lorimor and the Mayor should read the recommendations and the agreements they agreed to in the Lorimor Audit Report recieved this month for their audit last Fall. They should also review the recommendations and agreements for the cities listed above to see how they compare with the city of Lorimor's audit. They will find out how similar all of the audits are. The only question I would have is why those audits weren't found in the background and reference checks????????????????????????? There was surely a declaration sheet done and a report of their findings listed in the minutes for the meeting for when the new city clerk was hired. The next question I would ask is why didn't her name wasn't flaged in the City of Lorimor's audit that was done last Fall. I think the State Auditors Office dropped the ball on this one. What other information is going to come up and where does the current council think this is going? I sure hope they are protected by insurance for not meeting their fiduciary responsibilities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
